There is so much to think about when organising your wedding day! Booking your wedding photographer is definitely one of the first things you should be considering so with that in mind, here are some frequently asked questions to help you decide whether I'm the right fit for your special day!

How long will you stay for at our wedding?

Answer: This totally depends on which package you have booked me for but on average if you were to book me from the bridal prep till after the first dance this would be approximately 10 hours.

How much does it cost to book with you?

Answer: Again this is subject to the options you choose to book me for and if you would like a wedding album included once you have received all of your images. A full day of shooting starts from £1495 but prices are subject to change and dependent on your wedding day , the price will reflect and may end up being cheaper.

Can you travel?

Answer: Yes of course!

I love to discover new locations and am happy to travel to photograph your wedding day. If your location is over 50 miles from my location then I may request fuel costs over this mileage but this can be discussed depending on the location. I may also need money for an overnight stay if the location is very far from my location near Chester and Wrexham.

Do we need to feed you?

Answer: Working on your feet all day can be draining as I'm sure you can imagine so I make sure to bring plenty of snacks with me when I'm on location, although many couples choose to provide a meal for me for being an important part of their day which I am truly grateful for.

p.s. I'm a fussy bugger with food, always have been so probably best to ask me during our meeting if you want to put food on for me xD! I really don't mind having a packed lunch and a trip to Mcdonalds on the way home!

Do you shoot group photos?

Answer: Yes of course! But please be aware that weddings can be hectic sometimes and things never work completely like clockwork. Because of this I suggest to my couples that they create a short list of photos that are an absolute priority to get taken during the group photos session ( I usually only get a 20-30 minute window during the day to get these out of the way so please be as helpful as you can). I'd suggest getting one of your family members to read out the list of photos to the crowd of people as they know your guests on face value and will be much better at ferrying people together than I will be .

Is a deposit required to book with you???

Answer: Yes please!

I usually require a £250 none refundable deposit to book your wedding slot with me.

The remaining cash is then payable 2 weeks before your wedding date. If I have to cancel your wedding for any reason due to illness or an emergency, a full refund will be given for all funds taken.

How many images will I receive?

Answer: This is totally dependent on how much there is to photograph at your wedding day and also how large your wedding is. On average you will receive over 400 images.

Can I have the RAW images to edit myself?

Answer: Unfortunately I own the rights to the Raw files however,

all of your JPG'S will be easy to download and use however you wish.

Can you shoot on a weekday?

Answer: Of course!

How long will it be till I receive my images?

Answer: Usually no later than 8 weeks but I do like to get them edited and back to you way sooner than this.

What is included in your packages?

Answer: I can do up to full day coverage (10 hours) of a wedding day and my basic package includes a password protected online gallery for you to download all of your images and print to you hearts content. I can also offer albums and prints after you've received your images.

If you'd like to find out more about packages then feel free to use the contact form and I shall get back to you ASAP.

Are you insured?

Answer: I am indeed

What equipment do you use?

Answer: I use two identical Canon professional grade cameras on your wedding day with 2 card slots to backup your wedding photos. I also shoot flash photography so if any of your wedding party have photo-epilepsy then let me know and I shall work around this.

Consent and guest Photos:

Throughout the wedding day, I will aim to get photos of all of your guests. During the main family and friends photos, I will work on the assumption that everyone is happy for me to photograph them.

When it comes to other guests e.g. evening reception guests, I work on the basis of ‘assumed consent’ for documentary coverage. I will verbally ask for consent from the people we intend to photograph in any organised or posed photograph. Unless you contact me in writing to you objecting, by signing my contract you agree to me using your images for promotional purposes (this will give other couples an idea of how I work and also how beautiful your day was).

Can we be friends after the wedding?

Answer: Hell yeah! xD

I've met sooo many amazing people doing my job over the years and it's always great catching up with previous couples I've worked with.

Can we have a pre-wedding couple shoot/ engagement shoot?

Answer: I pretty much insist on this if you live local to me. Meeting beforehand makes things so much easier when couples already know and trust in how I work before a wedding day .Hey ! Why not get some free images in while we're practising for your special day!
